Currently our office is experiencing a chronic shortage of rental properties. This situation is being echoed around real estate offices all over Perth. Currently, Perth is in the midst of a population boom. Local think tank, Committee for Perth, has been undertaking a collaborative research project with the University of Western Australia and has just released its latest findings. These findings indicate that Perth’s population will increase by more than a third within the next 20 years and will be the fastest growing capital city in Australia. The research also found the strongest population growth was recorded in the southern coastal corridor.

These findings are reflected by growth within the City of Kwinana which has exploded so rapidly that this year it moved from being a Town to a City. The growth trends predicted for the City of Kwinana are strong and it is anticipated that they will remain so for the foreseeable future.

So what does all this growth mean?
